An open letter was sent to Minister Brendan Howlin of the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform on April 11, 2014, asking for fees for all stages of Freedom of Information and Access to Information on the Environment requests to be dropped.
The letter highlights the opportunity that the Government has as part of its first OGP Action Plan and its commitment to the Open Government Partnership to change course in the FOI legislation that is currently being debated.
